About BLERDcity's Founder
Ms. Clairesa Clay, Blerd City’s Founder and Executive Producer, is one of the first to create a Blerd event in the world.

An educator and creative, Ms. Clay has developed cultural programs in film, visual arts, and literature in conjunction with academic institutions, artistic organizations, and independent artists.
With the creation of Blerd City Con she has, in the past 6 years, exhibited short and feature films, comic artist creators, science fiction and fantasy writers, cosplay creators, VR installations, and children science workshops. These experiences were made for the community in a variety of genres including documentaries, social justice, Afrofuturism, horror, fantasy and animation.

It has been Ms. Clay's continuous vision to create a self-sustaining foundation for the development of constantly evolving opportunities for the Black creative and intellectual communities to learn, grow, and shine.
